According to the EOW sources, Surendra Khandhar was arrested from outside the Sessions Court on Wednesday afternoon and a transfer warrant was also secured for him. According to an EOW official, the arrest warrant was issued by the Indore court in a cheating case and Khandhar has already been sent to Indore. Khandhar is currently on bail in a cheating case of over Rs 50 crore involving over 60,000 investors. His company Suman Motels is alleged to have floated 12 schemes wherein it offered lucrative returns to its investors but failed to pay back on the schemes maturity.... | |

Shawn Smith, 27, was found guilty on several charges earlier this month. Smith robbed a hotel guest at gunpoint outside the Holiday Inn Express in Centerville and then held up two other hotels near the Dayton Mall last year. Police arrested Smith after a stakeout at his home in Dayton in June. Fingerprint evidence and witness identification led to Smiths conviction on seven charges, including aggravated robbery, felonious assault and robbery. However, Smith continues to maintain his innocence. Smith is hoping to get a new trial. Smith was found guilty on three counts of aggravated robbery, one count each of robbery, felonious assault and receiving stolen property.... | |
